FIELD MANAGEMENT
& LEASING
Nurturing & maintaining an orchard is crucial for a profitable harvest season and Lucas Custom Farming is equipped to offer both field management and field leasing. Farm management situations allow us to work closely with the grower throughout the year to ensure an orchard reaches its fullest potential. We will coordinate and provide all needed services and will bill the grower accordingly. This allows the grower to retain full control of their operation while knowing daily orchard tasks are
being completed.
For a more hands-off approach, our leasing option provides long term year-round care and maintenance of your field with minimal investment from you. After harvest, Lucas Custom Farming's chosen processor will split payments according to the agreed
upon lease contract.
ALMOND HARVESTING,
HULLING & SHELLING
Harvest is one of the most critical parts of farming and Lucas Custom Farming is fully equipped to partner with you this season. Our field team offers shaking, sweeping, and the harvesting of your orchard as well as trucking transportation to our facility.
Beyond the field, our company is equipped with comprehensive hulling and shelling services tailored to your needs. Our up-to-date system is ran 24 hours a day, six days a week during the harvest period to guarantee product is ran efficiently.
Our sheller accomodates inshell or meat kernels and coordinates with your chosen processor. In addition, our company provides hash credits on applicable invoices to help ensure the maximum return possible on your crop.
GPS FIELD LAYOUT
Field preparation for planting requires careful planning and involves many different steps. Lucas Custom Farming specializes in precision GPS field marking and berming which is an efficient option for preparing your orchard layout. GPS field layout requires less labor and also has the advantage of saving layouts for future references in the planting process. Our company is able to pre-mark a field for tree hole digging, irrigation layout or fumigation prior to the trees being planted. We also offer berming which can be used for hand planting or to make a larger berm for future machine planting.

BRUSH GRINDING
Lucas Custom Farming is proud to offer brush grinding as a simpler alternative for dealing with orchard attrition. Our small horizontal grinder is easy to maneuver in orchard settings and efficiently processes piles without leaving large amounts of debris. Grinding brush piles can be a substitute for in-field shredding if your brush has already been removed from the orchard. Grinding is also a great way to quickly clean up your orchard in preparation for harvest without dealing with the hassle and restrictions of regulated burning.
BRUSH SHREDDING
Lucas Ag Services LLC, a division of Lucas Custom Farming Inc, provides brush shredding services for both almond orchards and a variety of other tree crops. Brush shredding efficiently clears fields of sticks, debris, and other matter left behind after harvest and pruning.
Our Flory Power Trac brush shredder travels through the orchard and shreds brush and other prunings into small pieces of wood that can decompose into the soil. It eliminates the need to create large brush piles that are a hassle to dispose of or burn. To ensure a thorough clean-up, we provide a shredder follower who collects any pieces missed by the shredder.
